Annual Meeting & Banquet

This annual celebration of the Greater Hartsville Chamber of Commerce takes place in January. It attracts 200+ members and guests to recognize key leaders in the community and honors the outgoing and incoming Board chairpersons. The event is an energetic business and social event to enjoy with employees, clients and associates to welcome the new Chamber year while highlighting accomplishments of the previous year.

Three prestigious awards are given to deserving individuals from Hartsville: Chamber of Commerce Business Person of the Year, Rotary Club Citizen of the Year, Pilot Club Caregiver of the Year and the Duke Energy Citizenship and Service Award.

Business Expo

The annual Business Expo takes place in February each year. Greater Hartsville Chamber member businesses showcase their local products and services for the public to learn about the latest and greatest in the greater Hartsville area. The expo serves as the networking event of the year for new and long-time members alike. The Hartsville community appreciates the opportunity to learn, in one central location, about the products and services made available by Chamber members.

Women in Business Network

Through the Chamber’s local Women in Business Network, two gender-specific events occur each year. The Women in Business Seminar is a full-day, educational and networking event to address those issues unique to women in business. The seminar takes place in March of each year and includes inspiration and education on such topics as managing your career, appearance, health and wellness.

In September of each year, the network hosts the Women in Business Celebration. This evening social event provides an opportunity for socializing, entertainment, and to recognize the annual Woman of Achievement award recipient.

Legislative Events

Annual legislative events provide an opportunity to hear updates from your Legislators and Members of Congress. In these times of economic uncertainty, the actions of our Legislators are more crucial than ever in solving the challenges of the economy, health care, tax policy, and environmental issues. Chamber Legislative events are an opportunity to express your opinions and hear responses towards plans for policy decisions that will affect the economy and allow the business community to prosper.

Big Thursday Tailgate

The Big Thursday Tailgate is held the third Thursday in August to celebrate the kick-off of fall sporting events.  It is held at Burry Park with entertainment, games, tailgating tents and food, beverages and lots of spirit.

Taste of Hartsville

The Taste of Hartsville is held every May at Burry Park in Downtown Hartsville.  Get your palate ready for Hartsville’s most anticipated food festival.  Local chefs and cooks prepare mouth-watering delights in celebration of the area’s finest cuisine and beverages.  Participants enjoy strolling through Burry Park, listening to smooth musical sounds, admiring the

beautifully decorated tables and fellowship with neighbors.

Hartsville Community Golf Classic

The Hartsville Community Golf Classic is held at the Hartsville Country Club.  Businesses sponsor teams and the competition is fierce.  Before the tournament begins, a lunch is held at the Country Club and prizes are awarded after the tournament.

Business After Hours

These well-known networking events are held the third Thursday of each month at locations arranged by our host sponsors. Business After Hours events allow the Chamber to showcase member businesses throughout the greater Hartsville area.
