SUMMARY:2021 Virtual Master Gardener Training Class Pre-Registration
DESCRIPTION:A new\, virtual Master Gardener Training Class will be offered beginning in January of 2021. The class will differ from the current online class in that lessons will be synchronous. This means you will need to be virtually present during class meeting times. Tests and quizzes will be also be administered online. Please note this course is the first step to becoming a Certified South Carolina Master Gardener and enrollment in the class is a commitment to performing volunteer service.  More information about initial certification and annual requirements can be found on the SC Master Gardener website.\nThe 2021 Virtual South Carolina Master Gardener Training Class will begin on Wednesday\, January 13\, 2021. Classes will meet online each Wednesday morning from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM for 16 weeks. Chat help will be available each week from 8:30-9:00 AM. The final exam will be on April 28\, 2021.\n\nDue to the popularity of the South Carolina Master Gardener program and limited capacity\, registration for the 2021 Virtual South Carolina Master Gardener Training Class is a two-step process. First\, interested individuals must complete this pre-registration form by November 13\, 2020. Next\, a Master Gardener representative will contact interested individuals via telephone to explain the program\, answer any questions or concerns\, and verify a desire to proceed with registering for the class.\n\nThe training course fee is $300.00. Payment will be collected during the second step of the registration process\, after Master Gardener representatives have contacted interested individuals. Please note that no refunds will be issued once the course begins.
