DESCRIPTION:A 4-week series for 5 to 12-year-old students. Students will explore creative and functional clay methods (hand-building)\, including pinch pots\, coil building\, and/or slab building. Within these methods\, an infinite number of possibilities are available!\n\nWHEN:\n\nMondays from 4:00-5:00pm\n\n\n	\n	Session 1: May 6\, 13\, 20\, and 27\n	\n	\n	Session 2: June 3\, 10\, 17\, and 24\n	\n	\n	Session 3: July 8\, 15\, 22\, and 29\n	\n\n\nCOST:\n\n$55 each session (included all material)\n\nAbout the Teacher:\n\nFrankie J. Mixon is an SC Arts Commission visual arts fellow\; Artist (specializing in pottery\, clay sculptures\, and mixed media)\; Classroom art teacher with a BA in art\, two MA degrees in Elementary Education\, and Reading with an emphasis in Elementary Education. Teaching philosophy: The study of art is an excellent way to promote creativity\, self-esteem\, and self-expression. EVERY CHILD IS SPECIAL.
