DESCRIPTION:Devised Theatre Lab: Story-Making & Storytelling\n\nOctober 4\, 5:00 pm\, PAC - Black Box Theatre\, Free\n\nThe McCall School's Devised Theatre Lab considers the stories we tell about ourselves - whether on stage\, throughout our workday\, in the classroom\, or on the sports field? Texts\, images\, and objects serve as prompts to anchor this creative work and collaborative thinking. The results are short-form stories created by teams of students from across Coker's campus.\n\nGuest artist Lillian White guides participants through the limitless world of devised theatre with a focus on story-making and storytelling. Lillian White is a bilingual (Spanish/English) creative producer and community-engaged performance artist. Though raised on a chicken farm in Darlington\, SC\, her works spanning themes of rurality to queerness\, have been performed by companies in New York City\, Philadelphia\, and Lima\, Peru\, where for six years she lived and collaborated with South American theatre artists.\n\nJoin us for the Devised Theatre Lab's culminating storytelling on Sunday\, October 4th\, 5-6 PM in the Black Box Theatre.
