About Erdal Caba:
\n\n
 \;
\n\n
I spent 40 years as an engineer and then a manager at 2 separate nuclear power plants. \; As part of my responsibilities\, I also taught technical courses at the plants. \; During these years I always enjoyed photography and I seemed to have a knack for composition without taking any classes. I used my photography mainly when I traveled. \; \; \;

 \;
\n\n
After I retired in April 2017\, I decided to put my spare time into photography. \; In a short period of time I was accepted into the Village Artists Gallery at Sandhills Village shopping center in Columbia\, SC on December 2017 to display my work. \; I have been there since. \; The gallery includes a classroom in back so the gallery artists can teach classes if they wish. \; Intrigued by the idea of teaching\, I developed an iPhone class after seeing that people with iPhones did not know the full capability of their iPhone camera. I started teaching this class in February 2018.
\n\n
Teaching at the gallery was very successful. \; The student&rsquo\;s enjoyment encouraged me to expand where I teach the class. \; As such\, I have taught at many Art Centers around South Carolina.
\n\n
 \;
\n\n
While I still use my Nikon for Wildlife Photography\, I mainly use my iPhone for other applications. \; I have won several competitions with photos I have taken with my iPhone competing against those using DSLR cameras. \;
