DARLINGTON, S.C. -- The Darlington County School District (DCSD) will provide all K-12 students with free breakfast and lunch for 2020-2021 school year, the district announced today. During the times when students are out of the buildings for eLearning and for the Darlington County Virtual Academy students, meals will be available through curbside pickup at the schools, as well as pickup locations throughout the county.

Sept. 8-11, meals will be available for curbside pickup at all of the schools. The pickup locations throughout the county will be announced no later than Sept. 11.
DCSD will be operating under the summer feeding program guidelines until Dec. 31 and will be allowed to serve any child 0-18 years of age.

All DCSD students in grades kindergarten through 12th grade will be provided a meal ID card. Parents can pick up the cards at their children’s schools, beginning Tuesday, Sept. 8. Once a student receives his ID card, a parent can pick up the meal for their student by using the card at any school or pickup location between the hours of 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. The child does not need to be present for the meal pick up if the parent has their meal ID card. If a parent does not have a child’s ID card, the child must be present in order to receive a meal.
