    Happy Tuesday Main Street Businesses!

I wanted to send over an email with a few updates from our Main Street Hartsville desk. Please let me know if you have any questions at all!

    ·         Hartsville Farmers Market: Starting this Saturday from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. We will be Downtown on the 100 block of East Carolina Avenue on the second Saturday of the month from April – December. As a Downtown business, you are invited to participate by setting up your own booth or even putting a sign in the market to direct traffic to your business. Our staff will also be around directing attendees to our Downtown friends for shopping and bites to eat!

    ·         Block Parties: Downtown Block Parties will start back in May! We have decided to move these to Friday nights based on the survey responses we got from YOU and the feedback from event attendees. Our dates will be May 21st, June 18th, August 20th, and September 17th from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. on College Avenue.

    ·         Main Street South Carolina Survey: Main Street SC is conducting a survey to get a pulse on what your business needs are. This survey is anonymous, but they do ask for your city so that we can direct efforts where needed. We would LOVE your input.

    ·         Main Street National Conference Small Business Day: The Main Street National conference is next week. Main Street businesses are invited to attend the conference for FREE on Small Business Day, Tuesday, April 13th! The agenda looks like it is packed full of helpful information. Recordings of sessions will be sent to attendees, so it would be worth it to register even if you can’t attend on that day. More information and registration can be found here. Use the coupon code SB2180 for free registration.

    ·         Neptune Island Advertising Opportunity: Hartsville businesses have the opportunity to advertise on the radio played over the speakers at Neptune Island. This opportunity reaches 60,000+ visitors and is a reasonable cost. Main Street Hartsville has an ad promoting Downtown, but this is a great way to advertise your individual business. The flyer is attached.

I hope you found this Downtown update helpful. Please let me know if there is anything that I can do to help you or your business as we enter what we hope to be a busy spring/summer season in Downtown Hartsville!
