Welcome to our e-newsletter, "The Laurel Branch."

    Happy New Year
The Board and staff wish you all a happy 2022! Please visit the Gardens often this year.

    Oyster Roast Fundraiser
On March 19 we will host our Annual Oyster Roast Fundraiser from 4-7 p.m. I’m sure you have heard how amazing this event is, with the mountains of steamers, cold craft beer, flowing wine, live music, a huge porch full of incredible foods (for you land lovers), as well as a mix of some mighty fine folks. Well, we will be pulling it all together again this year, and you don’t want to miss out. This year's special musical guest is Ben Whitney! Get your tickets early as this event will sell out. Tickets are available from Kalmia Board Members and online at https://kalmiagardensoysterroast2022.eventbrite.com.

    Saddened By Vandalism
The Gardens’ staff had some of their holiday spirit dampened when we discovered our kiosk display case in the main parking lot was shot with a BB-gun. The Plexiglas door that protected our collage of photographic memories of events and people enjoying the Gardens was destroyed. HPD was notified and is on the case. Sadly, we also had to contact HPD before the holidays because someone, more than one person we’re assuming because of the sheer mass of the object, tossed our hand-painted donation pipe down the hillside. Before these incidents our canoe dock was marred with graffiti shortly after Josh Askins completed the rebuild for his Eagle Scout Project. We just don’t understand these random acts of vandalism. Please, if you see something say something. Let’s work together to keep Kalmia beautiful for all to enjoy.

    In Case You Missed It
Though the Christmas holiday has passed, we wanted to share this holiday video in case you missed it. We want to extend our most sincere thanks to Lochwood Studios for creating this wonderful video for the Gardens to share. Enjoy and Happy New Year!
