    30th Annual Turkey Trot 5K, 10K, & Fun Run
     
    We are SO excited for the upcoming historical event!!
    There are only a couple of days left to sign up to be guaranteed a t-shirt!
     
    Join us for our 30th Annual Hartsville YMCA Turkey Trot! Come one, come all! Start your Thanksgiving Day off right by supporting your local YMCA! This event has something for everyone. It’s not just a “run”. It’s family tradition, spending quality time, making new friends and cherishing the old. You can walk or run our 5k, 10k, or Fun Run. Proceeds from this event will provide support to our community outreach programs at the YMCA of the Upper Pee Dee.
     
    The 5K run/walk will start at 8am, the 10K will start at 7:45AM, and the Fun Run will start at 7:30AM on Thanksgiving Day, November 25th. What a great way to spend Thanksgiving morning with family and friends! Once you cross the finish line, we strongly encourage you to cheer on the other participants.
     
    Awards will be announced after all participants have crossed the finish line. All Fun Run participants will receive a prize! For the 5K and 10K, there will be prizes awarded to the top 3 male and female finishers and the first 500 participants to cross the finish line will receive a medal! Please note that T-shirts are only guaranteed to those who register before October 31st and sizes are based on availability from our vendor.
     
    Come help us celebrate 30 years of the Turkey Trot at our Pick-up Party! EVERY registrant will receive a coupon for The Blind Pig in their race packet the week of the race, but participants who pick up their packet at the Wednesday night pick-up party will also receive a coupon for a free beverage that evening courtesy of the Blind Pig. Kids can come help us “paint the town” (the Y building) with Thanksgiving turkeys! The Blind Pig is also hosting live music! Pick-up time is 7-9pm, but last call for The Blind Pig is 11:30pm.
     
    The cost for 5K participation before November 1st is $25 for members and $30 for non members. The cost for 10K participation before November 1st is $35 for members and $40 for non members. The cost will go up by $5 on November 1st for both events. The Fun Run cost is $6. Race day entries will be taken up until 7:40am. Registration at our YMCA locations will only be open until Nov. 22 and on-line at itsyourrace.com until 7:40am the day of.

    WHAT WILL YOU CHOOSE?
     
    If you choose to be a Human, your mission is to save the Human Race. You must get to the Finish Line with your Brains, Heart, and Entrails (flags). The future of the Human Race is in your hands.
     
    If you choose to be a Zombie, your mission is to infect the Humans with the Zombie virus by eating the Humans’ Brains, Hearts, and Entrails (capturing their flags). You may be a Creeper (slow moving) or a Leaper (fast moving) as you race to infect as many as you can before you reach the Finish Line.
     
    If you choose to be Immune, you are not susceptible to the zombie virus, nor are you looking to infect others by taking flags. Make it to the finish line at your own pace.
     
     
    COST: $35 for members, $40 for non members
