Darien Rencher Luncheon presented by Justin Evans for Mayor of Hartsville

Darien Rencher from Clemson Football will be speaking on July 14 for the Greater Hartsville Chamber of Commerce about his journey over the past year- where his courage to speak up came from to be a Change Agent, what winning the Disney Spirit Award meant to him, his efforts to save the 2020 college football season, and a glimpse into what his life has been like as a college athlete.  Darien is a 2 Time National Champion (2016 &2018), a 5 Time ACC Champion (2016-2020), 2020 ESPN Disney Spirit Award Winner (awarded to the most inspirational figure (person, team, or coach) in College Football each year- former winner: Tim Tebow, the 2020 Clemson Football Spirit Award Winner (awarded to the most positive light on the football team per year), 2019 Clemson Athletic Solid Orange Man of the Year (awarded to the male student who exemplifies the desired characteristics of a student-athlete), and a Clemson University Fall of 2020 Graduate who is set to graduate a Masters program Fall of 2021.
Head Coach Dabo Swinney was quoted, "Darien can do whatever he wants to do, maybe even be the president one day. One of the best leaders we've had come through the program."
