    Quinetta Buterbaugh, IOM

    Quinetta ButerbaughIOM, is the president of the Greater Hartsville Chamber of Commerce. In this capacity, she is responsible for leading the chamber in its mission: to be a catalyst for community success through member support and advocacy. She performs many functions including budget planning, strategy, and execution; event planning; and project management. Through continued member outreach, Quinetta is able to assess the needs of the chamber’s membership and provide focused, valuable service. During her tenure as president, the chamber’s membership continues to grow. Quinetta has initiated new programs, like the 110% Club and the Women’s Leadership Symposium, which bring more value to members. She has also added value to existing programs, including revamping Leadership Hartsville, improved visitor packets, a redesigned e-newsletter, and a modernized meeting room made available to members. 

    Prior to coming to the chamber, Quinetta was the Public Relations Assistant, supporting government and community relations efforts in South Carolina for Duke Energy. She received four Energy Advantage awards for her leadership roles on special company projects. Quinetta was also recently an adjunct instructor for Florence-Darlington Technical College.  

    Quinetta holds a Bachelor of Science in Business degree in Communications and is currently pursuing her Master of Science Degree in Management and Leadership from Coker CollegeShe holds the Institute for Organization Management certification from the United States Chamber of Commerce. She currently serves on the Carolina’s Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives board, the Hartsville Sunrise Rotary Club as its chair, Hartsville Rotary Club 6264 board as an ex-officio member, Community Foundation for a Better Hartsville’s executive committee as an ex-officio member, on the Main Street Hartsville Advisory Board, the Darlington County Progress board, Regional Education Center Advisory Board, and on the Darlington County Institute for Technology’s business department advisory committee. She is a 2013 graduate of Leadership Hartsville and served on the board of the Greater Darlington Chamber of Commerce.  

    Quinetta and her husband Dallas reside in Hartsville and have two daughters, Chace and Cassidy, and a granddaughter, Hazel. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, visiting breweries and hanging out with her husband, and playing with her granddaughter.

    Murphy Monk, Membership Development Coordinator

    Murphy Monk is the membership development coordinator for the Greater Hartsville Chamber of Commerce. Her responsibilities include member outreach, working with the chamber's Ambassador program, and online marketing for the chamber. She also serves the community's needs through maintaining a presence in the Chamber office to assist visitors with any of their chamber business.

    Murphy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies from Clemson University. During her time at Clemson she was on the President's List and Dean's List, was a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority and Lambda Pi Eta Communications Honor Society where she served as Social Media Director, and a Clemson University Welcome Coordinator. She is a member of the Hartsville Kiwanis Club and serves on the Hartsville Young Professionals Board of Directors as Communications Chair.

    Murphy is a Darlington County native who currently resides in Hartsville with her husband George Monk and their daughter Margaret. Her hobbies include anything Clemson football related.
