GSSM Empathy Experience

GSSM would like to invite you to attend our Empathy Experience event on Sunday April 23, 2023 from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. in the gymnasium. This event is sponsored by the Wellness Counseling Department in partnership with two of our student organizations, FWD and Mind Over Matter. We welcome your youth groups and students to join with us in increasing empathy for others. We ask that youth under the age of thirteen be accompanied by an adult. This event will allow participants the opportunity to engage in student led activities that emulate what it might feel like to have a physical or mental disability. Our goal is to gain a greater awareness of various challenges that someone with a disability may have in order to be more empathetic. Throughout this event and always, we are committed to showing dignity and respect for everyone. We look forward to sharing this experience with you.
