• The Hartsville Chamber is a strong supporter of Coker Cobra Athletics, and is proud to announce its newest member benefit: Chamber Nights at Coker College!  Chamber members can receive up to four free passes good for FREE admission to select Coker Cobra athletic events.  You can pick up your passes at the Chamber office at 214 N. 5th Street.  See below for a full schedule of Chamber Nights.

            • Nestled in the heart of Darlington County, Hartsville, South Carolina, is a charming small town that embodies Southern hospitality and rich history.               Cultural and Community Life

              Hartsville is renowned for its active and engaging community life. The city hosts a variety of events throughout the year, including the popular Hartsville Downtown Farmer's Market, which brings together local vendors and artisans. The annual Heart of the Holidays celebration transforms the town into a festive wonderland, complete with holiday lights, music, and activities for all ages. Treats on the Streets turns downtown into a Halloween harvest, and events to bring our residents together are ongoing throughout the year. Downtown Block Parties bring hundreds together to listen to free live music, all while showcasing the businesses that light up our downtown all year. Free Screen on the Green movie nights allow residents to grab a blanket and stretch out at Burry Park to watch a movie under the stars. The events offered would make you think you're in a much larger city (we just don't have the traffic!).

              Demographics

              In the city limits of Hartsville, we are fortunate enough to have over 7,000 residents, with another 32,000 just outside the city limits. Hartsville's median age is 41, with the city making strides in welcoming more young people than ever before! The median disposable income from the last census was $29,237, with Hartsville leading the area in economic development. Hartsville's retail market area serves over 14,000 households, representing 40,000 people. The median household income is over $40,000, and the area is extremely mindful of putting that money back into the local economy. Hartsville prides itself on always having a "shop local" mentality.
