Event Description:The Greater Hartsville Chamber of Commerce and Hartsville Community Center 705 Butler Street will host a ribbon cutting ceremony April 27 at 5:30pm to commemorate and celebrate the center’s new membership in the chamber. The chamber has invited the community to attend this event and show its support for the Hartsville Community Center and the service it provides Hartsville’s senior citizens. The event is free to attend and the Community Center will provide light refreshments.
The Community Center first began its work in 2013 when founder Dorothy Hines saw a need for senior services in her community. The center now serves as a liaison for seniors as well as a resource hub for those seeking assistance with matters such as finding transportation services, understanding changes to the Medicaid program, and more.Location:705 Butler St.
