              Event Description:
              The Greater Hartville Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a networking event for small business owners, especially veterans, women, and minorities, on Monday, August 15, 2016 from 5:30 to 7 pm at the Butler Heritage Foundation. The Chamber is working to provide programs and services to Hartsville’s small business contingent and will use the social as an opportunity help members and nonmembers connect.
              “In January of this year, the chamber created a small business task force, focused on providing support to its small business members, specifically for veteran-, woman-, and minority-owned businesses. We realize the importance of helping small businesses succeed and want to take an active role in helping them grow,” says chamber president Quinetta Buterbaugh. The chamber’s task force is a diverse group, representing business owners, consultants, and community leaders. The social will be an opportunity for the task force to learn more about the needs of the small business community to help the task force create new programming, resources, and training to match the business owner’s needs. “We want our businesses to be competitive and prosper. Hartsville’s recent growth in new businesses has been phenomenal; it is our job to give our businesses tools they need to keep our commerce thriving,” remarked Buterbaugh.
              Unlike many chamber functions, the social on August 15 is not a members-only event. All small business owners in the greater Hartsville area invited to attend.
