The YMCA of the Upper Pee Dee is seeking a full-time Director of Membership Engagement to lead our membership efforts and create a welcoming, member-focused experience throughout the Y.

This position is ideal for an energetic, people-focused leader who enjoys building relationships, developing teams, and connecting members with YMCA programs and opportunities.

Position Details
Full-Time | Hourly
Pay: $13–$16/hour
Reports to: COO
Leadership Level: Team Leader

Key Responsibilities

• Develop strategies to recruit new members and retain existing members
• Create a welcoming, member-focused culture centered on relationship building and excellent service
• Recruit, train, develop, and lead membership staff and volunteers
• Respond to member and nonmember questions and concerns professionally and promptly
• Promote YMCA programs, memberships, and enrollment opportunities
• Coordinate membership and program registration
• Organize membership events at the YMCA and throughout the community
• Oversee corporate and third-party membership billing and membership audits
• Manage and improve front desk procedures and scheduling
• Participate in budgeting and manage the approved membership budget
• Participate in YMCA leadership meetings and committees
• Support the YMCA Annual Support Campaign and special events
