Darlington County First Steps - Darlington Cares

Darlington Cares is a social media platform created to encourage young people to make responsible choices, help connect them with needed resources in Darlington County, and provide tools for community members to support young people.

Anyone of reproductive age could become pregnant or a parent.
Before becoming a parent, it’s our responsibility to ensure people are aware of their sexual and reproductive health and about available resources.
Being prepared physically, financially, and mentally before parenthood heightens the chances of children living in healthy environments.

3 reasons why you should care:

Darlington County was identified as being the 21st highest in the state for teen pregnancy rates, 16^th in the state for Chlamydia infections, and 20th in the state for Gonorrhea infections amongst 15-19 year olds.
If you’re in the business of serving others in the community, connecting young people to local resources is one way you can keep your friends, family, and community members healthy and thriving.
