  • Hometown Urgent Care LLC-DHEC Update

    Per DHEC:
Serologic tests should not be used to diagnose acute COVID-19. They may produce false negative or false positive results, the consequences of which include providing individuals incorrect guidance on preventive interventions like physical distancing or protective equipment.
If COVID-19 is suspected as a diagnosis, DHEC recommends PCR-based (nasal swab) testing if possible. Likewise, the FDA recommends that providers not use serological (antibody) tests as the sole basis to diagnose COVID-19; serology results may provide information about whether a person may have been exposed to COVID-19 in the past.

For those who wish to donate plasma, the donation centers have their own testing for potential donors

Hometown Urgent Care is working with LabCorp to determine self pay pricing. As soon as Medicare sets the price, LabCorp will make that determination. Hometown Urgent Care will update as soon as possible.
