Three Things Everyone Can Do Over the Next Few Weeks to Make the Most of 2021.

A chance to restart is an amazing gift and after this last year, we probably have the greatest opportunity of our lives over the next several months to restart with fresh habits and perspectives.  Here are three things followers of Jesus can do to make the most of the season where we change our calendars and our habits.

    1) Start Your Day in Scripture and Prayer
Start Your Day in Scripture and Prayer even if it’s only for a couple of minutes!  Could you commit to giving the first few minutes of your day to read and pray for the first two weeks of the year?  Spending time reading your Bible and praying ever day will change the rest of your days.  There is no better time to start than now!

    2) Show Some Hospitality
Who is it that you know that may be lonely or going through a difficult season that could use a cup of coffee and conversation or someone to call and check in on them?  The early believers were now known for opening up their homes and lives to the people in their community.  Even with all the safety measures we are taking to prevent the spread of Covid, I bet you can find a way to give the gift of some genuine human to human interaction to those that need it most during this season. An invite, phone call, or cup of coffee can make a big difference!

    3) Commit the First Part of Your Week to Worship
Whether you feel more comfortable doing this at home by sharing scripture and praying with your family, watching online, or coming to a socially-distanced event in person; followers of Jesus have carved out Sunday morning for worship ever since the day Jesus walked out of the tomb victorious over sin and death…on a Sunday!

Find a way to give the first part of your week (Sunday is the first day of the week… not Monday) to God as a way of putting Him first, showing your thankfulness, and asking him to bless the rest of your week.

We are in our sweet spot when we are the reading, praying, hospitality-showing, and Jesus worshiping people we were made to be.

Changed People Can Change Our Community!
P.S. If you come to our service at Center Theater Sunday at 10:30am our ushers will seat each group so that there will be more than 6 feet between each party and Center Theater asks that you wear masks or face-covering (at a minimum) while not in your socially-distanced seat.
