Hartsville Interfaith Ministries Welcomes New Executive Director
 
My name is Amanda Colbert.  I am a life-long member of this community.  I grew up (and still reside in) in Patrick, South Carolina.  I am a graduate of McBee High School.  I hold a bachelor’s degree from Coker College where I double-majored in Psychology and Business Administration.  I have a wonderful husband, Patric Colbert, who is my best friend and backbone.  He is employed at Nucor Steel in Darlington, South Carolina.  Patric and I have 5 children, Nathan (14), Chloe (13), Jackson (11), Baelynn (9), and Rowan (2).  We are members of Cedar Creek Baptist Church in Hartsville, South Carolina.  
 
I was exposed to the love of Christ as a child in the very same church that we still attend today.  I was saved and baptized in Cedar Creek Baptist Church when I was 12 years old.  God has never stopped proving to me since that day that he (1) loves me and died for me; (2) that loving people is necessary and what he has commanded; and (3) that his plans are always better than mine.
 
Prior to accepting the position as Executive Director of HIM, I worked for 15+ years in the low-income housing sector of government for Darlington County.  I most recently served as the Assistant Director of Emergency Housing Department for The South Carolina State Housing Finance and Development Authority in Columbia, South Carolina.
 
I am grateful and excited for the opportunity to serve as the new Executive Director of Hartsville Interfaith Ministries.  This ministry has such an incredible, long-standing, and far-reaching impact on our community.  I am looking forward to being a part of an integral, Christ-centered ministry where we focus on loving, helping, and serving those in need.
