Cypress Adventures - 2023...Here. We. Come.
January 17, 20232023... Here. We. Come.
We are excited to kick-off a New Year of New Adventures!
We've been securing partners and recruiting middle and high school aged students for the Spring session of our Youth Leadership Program, which begins next week!
We want to give you an update on how things are progressing.
So far this year, 320 students have signed up as interested in the introductory Leadership 101 course. Unfortunately, only 24 of those interested students will have an opportunity to participate in Leadership 101 this Spring.
We have 42 students registered for the second-level Leadership 201 course. These students will gain direct, real-world work experience by executing four major projects: 1 & 2) planning & implementing 2 events, 3) running our farmers market business, and 4) completing Phase 1 of our Permaculture Farm Design.
Our 13-member Youth Council will be busy as well! This student leadership team will receive advanced leadership training from Kooper Leadership Academy; create a business plan for the Farmers Market business; receive marketing and communications training to help with our marketing and promotions; AND provide leadership for the Leadership 201 course projects.
These budding youth leaders know the value of our program and are determined to help us generate the revenue necessary to expand our capacity and meet the demand for our services.
In light of the mistake made by our printer with our End-of-Year mailing and since we did not achieve our goal to raise $40,000 by January 15, we are extending our Gift of Cypress Annual Fund Campaign by one month.
Join us in reaching our new goal of $40,000 by Valentine's Day!
We would love to be able to serve every student interested in our program.
In order to do so,
we need your help!
The average annual cost for a student to participate is $1,500.
Our goal is to raise $40,000 with this
Gift of Cypress
Annual Fund Campaign.
So far, we've raised $9,112
YOU CAN HELP!
