              Incumbent Worker Training Assistance
               
              The Pee Dee Regional Council of Governments announces the availability of Incumbent Worker Training Assistance (IWT) under provisions of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act of 2014.  The purpose of the IWT Program is to assist employers with training currently employed workers to keep businesses and workers competitive.  Private Sector South Carolina Employers/Business Consortiums located in the counties of Chesterfield, Darlington, Dillon, Florence, Marion, and Marlboro and in need of training for incumbent workers due to expansion and changing skill requirements caused by new technology, retooling, new product lines, and new organizational restructuring may be eligible for IWT assistance.  You may request an IWT Application by emailing d-herrington@peedeecog.org or visiting our website at http://www.scworkspeedee.org.  Applications for IWT assistance must be submitted to Dianne Herrington at d-herrington@peedeecog.org by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 28, 2023.  Late applications will not be accepted.
