Friends:  The legislative session starts next Tuesday, January 11th and we need to tackle several important issues.  I’ve had discussions with many of you about your ideas on how to take on the challenges we face.  Overwhelmingly, I hear we need to focus on our infrastructure, roads, education, and promoting an environment where businesses and the jobs they bring can grow and thrive.

I have been fighting for these goals for our community, and I wanted to share news about a recent infrastructure win…

The City of Darlington is about to kick-off a massive upgrade to its water and sewer system. I was proud to have helped get the funding for these important improvements.  They will benefit economic development, educational facilities, and the overall quality of life in our community.  You can learn more here about the Project.

We are living in complicated and challenging times.  The Pandemic has impacted every aspect of our lives.  It has attacked our health, our economy and damaged our educational systems. At the same time, the political dialogue has become increasingly divisive.

This must stop. For us to find solutions and sound policy it will take all of us working together.  We must all keep our ears and hearts open to create a spirit of cooperation to move our State forward.

Thank you for the trust you have placed in me.  I pledge to always honor that trust by working hard for our community and making sure your voice is heard in the South Carolina Senate.

    Sincerely,

    Gerald Malloy

IN THE NEWS: “Without Senator Malloy’s assistance, we would not be able to do this much-needed project,” said Water and Sewer Superintendent Charles Shugart. “We appreciate his commitment to the city of Darlington and its people.” Learn more about this project here...
