    Our History

    Hartsville Kiwanis Gives to Hartsville High's Key Club

     

    Key Club International is the oldest and largest service leadership organization for teens, and teaches leadership through service to others.

    On Thursday, October 20, 2022, The Kiwanis Club of Hartsville

    celebrated the reactivation of the Key Club at Hartsville High School (HHS) with the presentation of a check for the reactivation fee to student representatives of the club and their faculty advisors. The check was presented by Kiwanis president John Benjamin and Kiwanis Key Club liaison Johnny Andrews.

     

    The check was received by Jacob Burges, HHS Key Club president; Jude Yates and Jacob Pulling (student liaisons with the Kiwanis Club of Hartsville); and HHS faculty advisors Christie Burgess and Derrick Nelson. The HHS Key Club has been reactivated with 38 members. The HHS Key Club had become inactive because of Covid-19 restrictions.

    MEMBERSHIP CONTEST

    The deadline for entries to the Membership Drive Contest has been extended. The new deadline is Dec 8th. The $100 prize will be awarded at the lunchtime meeting on Dec 15th. Remember that to enter, your new member's dues must be paid before your name can go into the contest. If you have any questions, please see Jay Davis, Membership Chairperson.

     

    WANTED: Kiwanians in Action

    Do you have a photo or story of a Hartsville Kiwanian rolling up their sleeves, making an impact, or helping make transformative changes in our community? If so, please email a photo and short summary (3-4 sentences) of the Kiwanian in Action to Jonathan Lee, VP of Programs to include in our next newsletter. 

     

    WANTED: Speaker for December 2022

    We need speakers for 12/8/22 and 12/15/22. If you have a program you'd like to host or a speaker you'd like to share, please contact Jonathan Lee, call or text 843-991-4848. 

    Regular weekly lunch meetings are held each Thursday.

    Meeting time is from 12PM-1PM at Hartsville Country Club.

    Members are invited to come early and stay late to enjoy club fellowship.
