    Coker University welcomes the the work of artist Virginia Derryberry.


      
    Coker University and the Cecelia Coker Bell Gallery are thrilled to exhibit the work of artist Virginia Derryberry. Derryberry graduated with a B.A. in art history from Vanderbilt University in 1973 before earning her M.F.A. in drawing and painting from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 1984. Her current work includes large scale oil on canvas figure paintings along with fabric / costume constructions that blend narrative elements from mythology and alchemy, the forerunner of modern science. Derryberry's exhibition, titled Private Domain, will be on display from Feb. 27 through Mar. 24, 2023.
