    Kid's Art History in Acrylics

    with Ember Estridge

    May 22nd Monet, Impression Sunrise

    May 29th Picasso, Cubism Faces

    June 5th Gogh, Starry Night

Learn about famous artists and their paintings through acrylics! Acrylics dry rapidly, serve as a vehicle for any pigment, and can give both the transparent brilliance of watercolor and the density of oil paint.

Ember will be teaching about the following artists and their famous paintings: Pop artist Andy Warhol and his 1962 Campbell’s soup can series; modern artist Van Gogh and his 1889 painting Starry Night; Impressionist artist Claude Monet and his 1872 painting Impression Sunrise and Cubist artist Picasso and his abstracted faces. After completing each class, students will have an 8”x10” acrylic painting to take home.

*This hour and half-long class is geared toward 10 to 15-year-olds
