              As the COVID-19 pandemic continues its impact around the globe, scammers have seized the opportunity to prey on vulnerable customers.  Duke Energy has seen a significant increase in scams targeting utility customers since April 2020.  Scammers use sophisticated tactics to confuse and intimidate consumers.  The only way to protect yourself is to be vigilant, stay informed and guard your personal information.
               
              I have included a flyer below that will help you identify potential scams and demonstrate how to report those scams.  Please feel free to share this information with your neighbors and reach out to our team if you have any questions.
