              Division: Nucor Steel South Carolina

              Location: Darlington , SC , United States

              Other Available Locations: N/A

              Basic Job Functions:
               
              • Maintaining the equipment in the machine shop in a safe and ready to use condition
              • Providing machining support for projects
              • Assisting with emergency repair machining
              • Creating prototypes for initial parts
              • Producing parts for warehouse stock based on EAM work orders
              • The qualified applicant must be willing to work weekends, holidays, scheduled, and unscheduled overtime.
                 
              Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

              Minimum Qualifications:
               
              • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
              • 3+ years of Industrial Machine Shop Experience or Machinist Certification or Associates in Machine Tool Technology
                 
              Preferred Qualifications:
               
              • Prior machine shop experience
              • Machine Tool Technology Degree
              • Experience with EBS computer software
              • Experience setting up CNC, surface grinders, and manual machines
